🔍 How I Discovered It
In an Instagram story where someone recommended “Five Years From Now” as a book which “caused her physical pain” or something along that line. Don’t get worried, it’s not that bad.
This is a beautifully warm book, very well-written in my opinion. It is in a countryside setting and it somehow portrays a “hopeful but you know it's not hopeful” kind of atmosphere throughout the story.
When I first read the blurb of the book, I already knew how this book would end. Despite the indirect heads-up, I still teared up when reading (which shows that it’s a good book).
I honestly want to live where Neil lives, it really sounds like the best place to live in when I’m retired and wrinkling in old age.
I like the message of the book where in five years you will look back and see why this event happened. Basically, it’s all cause and effect and you might not like the hard decisions you are doing now but in the future, you will see exactly why this happened.
🥰 Who Would Like It?
If you like a warm but bittersweet book
